According to the current state of technology, additive manufacturing, in metal or plastic, has long since established itself as a production technology suitable for series production. An important aspect of additive manufacturing is the functional integrity of the component. In the best case, some parts can be dispensed with and your component can thus be slimmed down.

Various processes, be it binder jetting, SLS (selective laser sintering), FDM or even SLA, can be considered as production technology.
