Our strategy: sustainability
We are pursuing a sustainability strategy called NachhaltiKKeit, which expands our existing strategy based on our EMAS and ISO 14001 certifications and aims to actively bring our vision to life. We continue to use the existing certifications to strategically anchor the topic within the company and actively implement sustainability targets and measures.
The goal of sustainability: sustainable transformation
We create
1. Economic efficiency
2. Social sustainability
3. Sustainability
in harmony with each other
The focus of our sustainable transformation is therefore focussed on making decisions based on all three pillars of sustainability: Economic, Social & Environmental.
Climate strategy
Our climate strategy is based on the 1.5-degree guideline and is a central component of our sustainability strategy. Our targets are set in accordance with SBTi guidelines, but have not been officially validated by the SBTi. With clear emissions reductions, we support our customers in achieving their own targets and combining environmental and economic goals.
A look at the scope of our emissions shows where we are starting:
Scope 1 direct emissions from our own operations
Scope 2 emissions from purchased energy
Scope 3 emissions along the entire supply chain – our greatest leverage as a wholesaler.
Last but not least, we act out of responsibility – for ‘our children's children’.
